Clownfish in Purple Tipped Anemone |Fiji
I am normally against shooting down at subjects but in this case it works. The angle down is slight. I love the pectoral fin on the left in the image ope and fanning away at the water. This motion caused the tentacles to open up revealing the complete body of the fish. Follow a couple of the tentacles down and you will see at their base the attachment to the anemone body. The picture does say “action!”
When shooting clownfish in anemones, bracket, bracket, bracket. You can get so many great pictures. I shot a few of this fellow which account for two more shots on the Fine Art America web site. This would have never happened if I had simply been satisfied with the one image. As good as a picture you think you have, you can always get a better one.
